I'm not sure why eagles fear humans. They are kings of the riverbanks — fierce winged predators with talons, beak and piercing gaze that clearly says as much.
Yet trying to get within camera range of one of these great birds is always a challenge. Didn't have much luck with close-ups on this trip, so I took what was offered up to me — an eagle on a spindly branch against a plain white background.
The image is stark enough to be compelling, I think. I worked to ensure the eagle was dead smack centre in the middle of the frame, with the branches serving as leads for the eye. You do the best you can with what you have.
